Great Product! Fun & Easy to Use!
Love that this product provides great curls without the use of heat! Researched various heatless curlers before choosing this Kitsch Heatless Curler. One of the main selling points was the sustainability feature of being made with chemicals safer for human health and is certified by OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100. I wanted to make sure I started out with a clean product as I would be wrapping my damp hair around this device. I placed the heatless curler and two scrunchies in a mesh garment laundry bag and washed these items using a bit of mild shampoo and cold water on the handwashing cycle of my washing machine. I hung the mesh bag containing the items on a hanger to dry overnight before using. The heatless curler contains a flexible coated wire surrounded by soft material and coated with a satin type fabric. I started the curling process by brushing my hair and spritzing it with water to dampen hair. I utilized a velcro roller on my bangs and ran the heatless curler through the velcro roller – see photo. I found wrapping my hair around the roller to be very easy and took about 5 minutes total. I parted my hair in the back. Then started wrapping the hair near my temple and grabbing a section of hair each time I wrapped. I also lightly spritzed some hair sections with additional water as I went along. The wrapping and grabbing additional sections of hair was similar to the French hair braiding process. I found that wrapping the hair sections close to each other and with a moderate tension worked well. At the end of each side I utilized a scrunchie to secure the end of the hair to the curler. When finished, I found that I could wrap the two ends of the heartless curler around each other at the lower back of my head, but wasn’t certain if this would be comfortable to sleep on; I used a hair tie to secure the two ends of the heatless curler together at the back of my head instead. I have the Kitsch satin scarf, but didn’t think to wrap my hair with it. Squeezing the heatless curler, I thought it felt very soft. I wore the curler to bed and laying on the curler took me about 20 mins to get use to. I was able to move the curler off my ear when sleeping on my side and found this was a comfortable position. I was also able to comfortably sleep on my back. Again, it was just a matter of taking about 20 minutes to get use to. I kept the curler in for approximately 8 hours. Removing the curler was very easy, the hair slipped away easily and didn’t tangle at all. I like a bit tighter curl, so I used my fingers to separate the curls just a bit. If I would have ran my fingers through the curls, I think I could have created a looser curl or wave. I did not use a styling product in my hair and the curl has lasted throughout the day – I have fine hair that takes to curling easily. When I was finished utilizing the heatless curler, I placed the curler and scrunchies in the mesh laundry bag I had washed it in (not included) and put it on a hanger to completely dry; I wanted to make sure it was completely dry before storing it away. I feel this is a great product, that is reasonably priced, made of quality materials, well constructed, and was fun and easy to use!

I can’t click the 5th star for some reason so this is a 5 star review! don’t usually write reviews but I have to say this is the best hair gadget ever! I just used it for the second time last night and I don’t know that I will ever curl my hair again. I have a lot of very fine hair it is heavy and doesn’t hold a curl except for right after I layer and texturize it like crazy. I get sick of spending time curling my hair for it to fall out. I also use curlers sometimes for volume yes I said it curlers. That’s how desperate I get for my hair to have some kind of curl. My hair is not as curly as when I first took it out but it still looks amazing and was so easy!!! I will have curly hair every day now vs trying to curl it only sometimes on the weekend when I have time.

Learning curve
I’ve seen the influencer videos showing perfectly curled hair just like Rapunzel. If only my hair looked like that after using this. There is a learning curve to getting this to work for my hair. Would be wonderful to pack for my overseas trip instead of packing a hair curling appliance. But I’ve tried this 3x now. I wrap my hair while it’s damp and go to sleep. Get up in the morning and while the curls in the front are ok, my hair in the back looks flat and not curled. Not a good look for business trips. I do like that it’s made of silk just like my pillowcases. But overall I probably won’t use it again. I still give it 4 stars for being silk, and for those who can get it to work as seen in videos, I say this is a great alternative to using heat on your hair. Bottom line, it’s worth a try but didn’t work for me.

Practice! But amazing well made product
Did a practice a week before and watched a YouTube how to video. At first I just wrapped my hair but then I learned a few tricks and to more French braid it in. This was after only my second time doing it. Will have to focus higher up next time but I am very happy with the look. I used a little bit of 2Chic leave in conditioner and brushed it through before I put on the curler overnight. It’s soft and I didn’t feel it at all as I slept. I got the silk pillow case too and my hair is loving the TLC 🙂 very happy with my purchase and talked my mom and sister both into getting one as well.

Great for thick hair!
My 15 yr old daughter has incredibly thick and curly hair. It’s so hard to find ways to style it so she usually puts in a braid or bun every day. We’ve tried using a curling iron, but the curls don’t last an hour which I will never understand since she has curly hair! We finally decided to try the heatless curling set and she loves it! We do have to straighten her hair before using it which takes about 30 minutes, but this works so well and her hair holds the wavy curls all day with no frizz!!

I was impressed with how well this works! I have long hair so I think that makes it easier to get all the hair wrapped up correctly. First time I tried it, only half my head curled, but second time I did better and made it tighter and the curls looked perfect. I got compliments because I never curl my hair since I have trouble with using a curling iron. I’m so excited to start wearing my hair curly now that I have this! There is definitely a learning curve, you may not have perfect curls the first time but practice makes them better! Also I’ve found my hair gets really fluffy so I may try using some product next time. I just have to run my hair through the curls with some oil and help shape them and they look great.

I bought this but have not used it. I tried but just couldn’t figure it out. Lol. I’ll give it to my granddaughter, I’m sure she can figure it out. It seems like a good quality product tho.

I fell in love with this set! My hair looks amazing without using the heat. I am using it daily for over a year and it still works for me. It got a bit more twisted but it doesn’t make any difference.It doesn’t come with the clip so you need to have your own.It might not be great for very long hair – mine is around shoulder blade length when they are straight and it works fine.

My hair doesn’t hold a curl unless I use a chopstick curler, which takes about 3 hours to do as my hair is super long and straight, and even then the amount of heat used wrecks my hair, so I don’t tend to do it as often.The heatless rod curler is AMAZING. You can see the difference that using no heat at all makes and the curls really do last all day!I wrap mine super tight to get wrinklets and like other reviewers, of course I couldn’t get the knack of it in the first couple of goes, but with persistence, it worked!The only downside I would say is that upon using them tonight, the wiring seems to be lost in one side of the rods at the bottom, and the material has become pretty loose, and these aren’t cheap enough to rebuy every month. However, I’m not knocking off a star because of that! They are fab, and hopefully with great reviews they will upgrade them with better materials in the future!

A decir verdad fue más que suficiente para mi, tengo cabello abundante y largo hasta media espalda y logré el resultado que esperaba. La calidad es más alta que la de otros productos similares y la tela de laque está hecho ayuda a no esponjar el cabello ni maltratarlo. Se queda bien fijo toda la noche aunque bastan unas tres horas usaándolo para obtener el mismo resultado.

Excellent no heat curling system! Super comfy for sleeping in and worked really well in my long, thick naturally wavy hair. Best results on dry/slightly damp hair and use any usual anti frizz spray or curl enhancing products.
