A literal dream!
These really are a dream pair of shoes. I am a teacher, and I’m helping out by driving a bus right now. I drove the bus for almost 2 hours; taught classes all day, constantly standing or walking; drove the bus again for almost two hours; came right back to the school for a booster club meeting; and I just got home. 6:40 am- 8:50 pm… and my feet are not hurting at all. I normally wear an 8.5 but ordered a 9 for some reason, and they’re too big. If I could do it again, I’d order the 8.5, and I think I’d be just fine. If it helps, I have flat feet, and these have a very slight arch support, which is perfect for me. The sole is not slippery. Its pattern is similar to work boots.

These are very comfortable and I have worn them an entire 8hr work day with no pain to my feet. I do fine that adding a pair of thin foot socks makes it even more comfortable

Nice shoe but narrow
Exactly what I wanted in a boot like shoe. I’m over , 70 yrs old and wanted to look stylish in pants and jeans without too much height. They are very flattering.The width is a little small so may order a 9 Wide. Ordinarily I wear 8.5 in flats and 9 in low heels.Go up half size for wide foot.

UPDATE:The customer service is awesome. They reached out to me to discuss the issue with the shoes. After speaking to them, they sent me an 8.5 in the black suede. The shoe fits, looks great, is comfortable, and is a great shoe for work. I like that it seems to be slip resistant and I can wear them for hours without my feet getting tired. I appreciate the extra effort made to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. I ended up going a half size larger.**********I liked the style of the shoe. I normally wear a 7.5 US but I ordered the size 8. I expected it to be just a bit roomier than I was used to wearing. I ordered the shoes that looked like black leather and the ones that looked like black suede.The black leather fit my left foot with absolutely no give. It was tighter than being a secure fit. The right foot was way too tight. A bit of a struggle to get on. The tightness occurred across the instep on both pairs as I tried to walk. There was something about each shoe that was uncomfortable on the ball of my foot. The other issue was the shoe rubbed against my little toe.I really liked the look, and wanted them to work for me, but they were not comfortable. I thought about trying a wide, but wide has always been too big and they didn’t have a wide in the black suede. I already initiated my return for both pairs.

Size up?
These just arrived and may need to be broken in yet, but my initial thoughts about these is that they are really snug, feels about .5 size too small for what i usually wear. I will keep them with the hope that once I wear them for a bit they’ll loosen up that little extra bit. But they are not fit to wear for long periods such as for work directly out of the box. If after a break in period they fail become more comfortable I’ll update this with the information.Other than this tightness issue they are fairly comfortable. For those who can go up to the next size or half size, I recommend this. Unfortunately for myself I am already at the largest size so I hope that breaking them in will helpMaterials are good quality and they are crafted with the same attention to quality as the choice of materials. it’s a classic style that won’t go out of fashion anytime soon. Which is what makes this issue all the more frustrating.After a few months of wearing them I’ve begun noticing that they squeak as I walk and not in the typical wet floor shoe squeak but more in a I put weight on one and it squeaks as it bears the weight of my body.

I have not worn them yet but after trying them on, they feel firm and definitely would not fall off while I am walking. I would say that the size is about right if a bit close fitting at the sides and they are smart in appearance. Time will tell if they are worth the price I paid for them.
