HOW COULD ANYONE NOT GIVE THESE 5 STARS???!!! Update: Hair Tinsel “Colorful” vs. Twinkle Sparkle
I recently went to Disney World and saw something like this on someone at a distance. It stood out and was so beautiful! She must have had 50 compliments that day and people asking what they are and where they got them! So I came home and looked around on amazon. I’m not patient enough to get the more permanent kind, I only want the barrette kind. But in the pictures, it seemed like the barrettes were big and would be uncomfortable. (They’re not.) Well, I ordered a set to check them out. I got the color “colorful”, and they look so fabulous on my plain brown hair! I wish I’d had them in Orlando! They are so fun and cute! My daughter’s birthday is tomorrow, and I’m going to give her one of the sets of 6 that just arrived today, and I just ordered more. They are so fun for any festive occasion, such as a carnival or fair, or the zoo, or a birthday party! You could wear green for St. Paddy’s Day, pink for Valentine’s Day, and red and green for Christmas! I just love them, and the barrettes are small/sort of tiny!, and I don’t notice that they are in! I love them!! I feel there are the appropriate amount of tinsel on each barrette. For my pony tail, I think 2 or 3 barrettes will be all I will use. Great product and barrettes stay in very well! UPDATE: I received the other brand of tinsel, here is a comparison: Of this brand, Hair Tinsel, I bought “Colorful.” The alternate brand was “Twinkle Sparkle” in “7 Color Fusion.” I way prefer this brand, Hair Tinsel, #1 because the barrette is easier to open and close on my medium-thick hair (if you have thin hair, then you might want to try Twinkle Sparkle), and also, I want every barrette to have all the various colors, that’s why I chose “Colorful.” So with “Colorful”, each INDIVIDUAL STRAND is only 1 color, but you get a bunch of colors on one barrette. With a competitor, Twinkle Sparkle “7 Color Fusion,” you only get 1 barrette with a lot of colors. All the other 5 barrettes are all one color, like 1 has all blue, one has all pink, one has all yellow, etc. So I only gave Twinkle Sparkle 4 stars, because I thought that they would ALL be multi-color, and because their barrettes are harder to push open. Both are so cute, though. It shows up nicely on brown hair.

If you’re looking for a simple but cute accessory to complete an outfit, then this product is for you! I ordered the sky blue hair tinsel and I got exactly what I ordered. Packaging was not damaged and was organized. You get two packs that include 6 clips each, giving you a total of 12 hair clips. In the photos, I used one pack (6 clips) in my daughter’s hair and it was the perfect amount! The quality is nice and the hair clips are easy to use. If you have long hair, these will look nice in your hair. If you have short hair, you may have to decide if you want to cut them or not. I’d definitely recommend this product and will gladly purchase again in the future!

Didn’t work for us.
My son has long-ish hair and so I bought these in red and green to use for Crazy Hair Day at Christmas. They were difficult to clip in, requiring a lot of force to close (which was painful for my son). Then they kept slipping out. His hair isn’t thin at all so I’m not sure what I did wrong. He was very excited about them but opted not to keep trying to put them in his hair after a couple of fails and a sore head.
