I got this along with the matching earrrings (and chose the same stone options), and it’s an excellent match. I’m going to borrow the stone discussion from my review of the earrings so I don’t have to go through it twice, and it’s quoted below:The stones that I chose (Feb/Dec) are amethyst and tanzanite. There’s no easy home test to confirm that these are real like with a thermo pen for diamond/moissanite, but I’ve found that the little thermo pen can indeed give me some input if I’m willing to research and pay attention. I know how a cubic zirconia performs on a thermo pen, having gotten more than my fair share (especially pretending to be diamonds or, more usually, moissanites). Amethyst by its nature isn’t terribly different in terms moving heat than the cz would be, but the tanzanite does indeed move far more heat than I’d expect a cz to be able to do. Can I swear-swear that these stones are actual amethysts and tanzanites? No. But the best evidence that I have indicates that they are NOT the substitute that I would expect to see, especially on a platform where folks want to call colored cz stones “created” (insert name of gemstone here – ruby, emerald, sapphire, amethyst, whatever). That is NOT true. I would expect that these are created stones here, and created stones – like the actual ones, not the pretend ones I sometimes see on these Amazon streets – ARE REAL. They are chemically identical to the stone you’d find in the wild (other than imperfections that you might also find in those mined stones), only made in a lab setting.***end quote***This is stamped 925 on the pendant and the chain, and nothing reacts to a magnet other than the clasp on the chain itself, which is normal and expected. The box chain it comes with is sturdy and much nicer than many I see thrown in the box with a nice pendant, and it also has a longer extender (3″) than usual (2″), so there’s more flexibility here.The work on this piece is also better than usual on this platform, even in this same price range, so I’m quite pleased with it. If I had the luxury of half stars I’d give this one 4.5.
